The Emergence of Consciousness
While taking pictures of the melting snow through my dining room window in Baltimore, I was surprised to see moiré artifacts created by the refraction of the light within each of the cells of the window screen. This artifact is usually undesirable in digital photography, but in this case it created over a thousand unique images of pure light. Each cell is a tiny rainbow with its own structure.
The larger image is divided into four quadrants. The numbering system is a.b.c, where a is the quadrant number, b is the row number, and c is the cell number on that row.
Someday soon I'll put these up as a slide show so you can see the progression from one cell to another. For the time being, just enjoy these for their own sake.
